Happy St.Patty’s from Denver!

Denver is well known for being a fantastic place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. From long standing parades to bar crawls and everything in between you and the family can enjoy the day!

At Headed West we believe we all are in need of some good luck! There may be some fun hints and tips within this blog as well to ensure you receive the luck of the Irish this year!

Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Denver St. Patrick’s day parade began in 1962 when the mayor of Dublin visited Colorado. The parade features Floats, dancers, bands and more. It is an entirely non profit event completely run by volunteers. Starting at 19th and Wynkoop traveling all the way through 27th and Blake street this is one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day events in the state. Fun for all ages and a shockingly good time you won’t want to miss out on this historic annual occasion! Don’t forget to wear green or you may be open to bad luck!

St. Patrick’s Day At Home

If you don’t like to go out or want to stay away from all the green beers, you can always celebrate at home. There are tons of St. Patty’s activities you can do from the comfort of your house, such as cooking or crafting. Try your hand at some traditional Irish dishes, or order in from some of the most traditional restaurants in town such as Clancy’s Irish Pub or The Irish Rover Pub. You can also try your hand at some fun St. Patrick’s day crafts such as clover crowns and Leprechaun Traps. Who says you have to go out to enjoy the Holiday?!

We wish you the best of luck from Headed West.
