I believe that to many people don’t appreciate glass as art. If you take the time to break it down and understand the complexity of how a piece is made, then you would start to enjoy it a lot more. Have you ever bought a replacement piece to find out that it’s the same artist as before? It’s because you are attracted to that particular persons work. Just like with all art we find a connection with it whether it’s a painting, song, movie, or even a piece of glass.

Glass pipes and the glass blowimg community have always been under appreciated and never truly been accepted as a true form of art. For a long time most people have just used them as a means to smoke and never batted an eye on how they were made or the hours of work behind them. In recent times the glass community and the culture behind it has been rapidly changing. With glass blowers selling pieces of functional art for upwards of $100,000, glass conventions, glass galleries, collectors, 
and more! It’s proving that the negative stigma surrounding the glass community is changing for the better!
Who would have thought that sand heated up to well over 3200°f turned into glass, then turned into a functional piece of art, would be as popular as it is? The hard work, time, and dedication of glass blowers making glass pipes is that of any other artist and any other form of art. Glass pipes are becoming a widely accepted as a true art form and glass blowers, glass artists, are showing up around the world!
