As we near mid-April in Colorado it’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas. It’s a state of mind that is still somewhat unique to our great mile high city – that state of mind which celebrates (really celebrates) the individual – yet brought enough people together to create a movement that is slowly but surely legalizing marijuana use for millions around the country.
420 celebrations have been going on far longer than pot has been legal in Colorado. Now they’re just bigger and better! Our friends at the Colorado Pot Guide and World Cannabis Week have put together a great spread on the week’s activities…That’s right, now it’s an entire week!
Here are some of the highlights:
April 16. The official 420 Rally.
Featuring Wiz Khalifa & Lil Wayne. Hundreds of vendors and up to 100,000 attendees are expected at Civic Center Park!
April 19. Colorado High Times Cannabis Cup
April 19th, get yourself to the Rocky Mountain State and join the cannabis community for the HIGH TIMES Concert Series and the Colorado Cannabis Cup awards. The Colorado Cannabis Cup competition will take place, but will not feature an expo and adult-use area.
As always, strains will be judged by a panel of experts. Winners will be announced at our Colorado Cannabis Cup awards ceremony at our massive concert celebration featuring Cypress Hill, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Action Bronson and Chronixx & Zincfence Redemption. April 19. 420 Eve on the Rocks.
420 Eve On The Rocks – Method Man & Redman ft. Ghostface Killah & Raekwon (Live Band), Collie Buddz, Joey Bada$$, Dizzy Wright, Stick Figure, The Underachievers, Jarren Benton and Special Guests all play under that stars at one of the most breathtaking venue’s ever created!
April 20. The Marijuana Summit
A comprehensive discussion on recent developments related to marijuana legalization. Also will highlight the latest updates on the scientific evolution of marijuana, particularly in the fields of psychology and biology.
April 20. 5280 Glass Showcase
The preeminent event that presents a collection of works from Colorado based artists which showcases 60 local glass artisans. Enjoy some Colorado brews while at the 5280 Glass Showcase and check out several Colorado based businesses.
