How to Avalance Game!

Nothing beats the high like coming off a Stanly Cup win, and with energy like that, this year’s AVS season is gonna be much better! So with the influx of Avs fans gearing up for this year, we figured there is no better time than to show you “How To Avalanche Game.”

Three Ways to Avalance Game

The Colorado Avalanche plays at the Ball Arena, formally known as the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. With such a central location, opportunities are endless! But, we wouldn’t be doing our jobs if we didn’t tell you the three best ways to Avalance Game!

The Stanely
In honor of the 2022 Stanly Cup Champions, “The Stanely” is arguably one of the most exciting ways to celebrate an Avs home game! Make sure you get plenty of sleep, as this is an all-day adventure in the heart of Denver!

You can start this adventure six hours before game time and hitch a ride downtown. It doesn’t matter how you get there. Just head on down! Great, you’ve made it. So now what? We have to eat like a champ to support the champions, right? No better way than the biggest breakfast sandwiches around, the Denver Biscuit Company!

Now that your tummy is full, it’s time to digest, so we suggest you start walking in the heart of Downtown! Walk, RTD, rideshare, or lime it! But get your booty down to the 16th street mall for a pleasant stroll in the crisp Colorado air! Check out all the local shops and get your fill of the Mile High City.

Once you are done there, we recommend a short pregame at the Blake Street Tavern next to Coors Field. Then, play some games in the Underground Social, Sit on the rooftop patio and drink a few beers, then catch a ride to the Ball Arena!

Side Note – If you can’t make it to the stadium for a game, Blake Street Tavern hosts the Offical Avalanche Watch Party. Catch Bernie the Mascot and the Ice Girls at every event handing out swag and free tickets on Jan 9th, 7:30 pm v. Calgary, Feb 22nd, 5:30 pm v. Chicago, March 3rd, 2 pm v. Anaheim, March 19th, 6 pm v. Minnesota, April 1st, 6 pm v. St. Louis!

The Hat Trick
So you only have three hours before game time, so make sure to use it wisely. Grab your Avs gear and get ready to head Downtown! (Don’t forget to grab your pregame goodies from Headed West)

Choose an official “BarNetwork” bar of the Colorado Avalanche off this list and join your fellow Avs fans for good eats and stiff drinks! Catch that pregame vibe, and then off you go to Ball Arena!

The Power Play

Just like in the games, Power Play is all about speed! You have your ticket, gear, and pocket snacks, and with only one hour before game time, you gotta get down there fast! Head to the stadium and check out all the pregame events, games, merch, and more at Avs Alley. Get in early and enjoy the game!

How to get the Best Deals for a Colorado Avalance Game?

No one wants to get scalped or ripped off when they want to have a good time, right? So ignore the re-sellers and hop on the official AVS website, as they have tickets starting as cheap as $25! Sometimes you can even get great special deals, and group tickets, and the Theme Nights are FIRE!

Getting to Pepsi Center….Ball Arena…

Well, that’s going to take some getting used to. The Ball Arena is at 1000 Chopper Cir, Denver, CO 80204. We still want to say Pepsi Center, but whatever! Like we said earlier, the Ball Arena is in the heart of Downtown, right off I-25 & Auraria Parkway, making it super easy to get to!

By Bus – An RTD bus stop is located adjacent to the grounds of Ball Arena at 9th Street and Auraria Parkway and is served by bus routes 1, 15L, and 20.

Bonus Bus – The MallRide provides a FREE shuttle service on the 16th Street Mall.

By Light Rail – The C Line and E Line to Union Station in LoDo stops at Ball Arena/Elitch Gardens. D Line, F Line, and H Line to 16th/California in Downtown Denver.

By Bike – via the Cherry Creek Trail or Auraria Parkway Sidewalks! Bike parking is located at the East Atrium, Grand Atrium, and South Lot.

Rideshare – Between 9th and 11th Street.
