Everyone knows by now that Colorado was the first state in the country to make recreational marijuana legal. Since that first sale back in January of 2014, the pot industry is burning up the economy and it’s not just the locals that have noticed.  As more and more retail dispensaries go up, more and more visitors are making their way to the Mile High City to see what they’ve been missing.  So what have they been missing?

Options for tourists have been growing in Denver and around Colorado as fast as the marijuna economy. Popular visits include Bud & Breakfasts, 420 Tours, and ‘Wine and Weed’ paring events where various strains of cannabis are paired with wine.  The boom is getting some credit for a pick-up in the local economy but blamed for the skyrocketing real estate prices.  Nonetheless, this budding travel & tourism niche is a major player educating consumers, both in and out of state, about how the marijuana industry works and introducing them to the retail end of it.
